My Story
I began my Scentsy journey in 2011, while on maternity leave with my first child. I had no intention of joining at first, I decided to book a party and before I knew it I had signed up, but still had no expectations that it would really get me anything other than being able to buy more wax at any given time. As my maternity leave was nearing the end I found myself filling with dread about returning to work. I began to feel so unhappy that I would be returning to a job that I didn’t love, leaving my son, coming to terms with the fact that the tiny person I had never been away from would now be raised by someone else while I went away everyday to do something I didn’t even want to do. But it had to be done so I returned to work because I “had to”. As fate would have it, I ended up losing my job only a month and a half after returning from my maternity leave, which was a complete blessing in disguise. I had to help make ends meet for our family and Scentsy had always done something for me that made me a different person: happy, fulfilled, I loved everything about it. So why wouldn’t I take this opportunity to use it as more than just “something I could buy whenever I wanted”? Well I did just that. I made Scentsy work for us and I am now a work at home mom! My son is now 4 years old and he loves being part of my business and helping do "scentsy stuff" and I am able to stay home and raise my kids ( I also have a one year old daughter) and we are all happier because of it. Scentsy has given me something I love! It makes me a happier person, it gives me a chance to do something for me and for my family. I have gained so many new experiences and new friendships that I would never have had without Scentsy and I am so grateful for the opportunity I have been given.
